To open the Deposit Control Report Report, from the Report menu, click Report Explorer and select the Deposit Reports group.

Report

DescriptionThe Deposit Control Report summarises Month to Date, Year to Date, Last Year to Date, Tax Year to Date, Last Tax Year to Date, Total and overall ledger totals for Open Deposit Accounts.
PurposeCan be used for reconciliation purposes to check against the correct running ledger balance that is held, i.e. to confirm that no transactions were entered twice or were missed.

Enter the Date As At

Date As At

Enter the date the report will be calculated "to"; used when calculating values such as Balance.

Select Columns to include

Tick applicable boxes to include any columns required for the report. Leave blank if not required.

The Total Column is not the total of the columns selected, instead it is the Total of the transactions within the database. You may therefore see a number within the Total Column where there is a zero recorded under the column or columns selected.

Tick the relevant sections to include in the report.

Show New Account Statistics?

This option is included within a section called "New Accounts" and shows:

Show Closed Account Statistics?

This option is included within a section called "Closed Accounts" and shows:

Show Bank Account Suspense Items?

This option is included within a section called "Bank Suspense Items Summary" and shows a list of Bank Transactions that have been applied as Bank Suspense Items. These transactions show in the Bank Account as having been imported into finPOWER Connect but not applied to any Accounts because they were either unknown Accounts, or the Accounts were closed and the money needs to be refunded.
The report will show values for the following:

Show Transaction Statistics?

Tick to show "Last Transaction Id and Bank Transaction Id" under the Parameters section at the bottom of the report.

  • The "Deposit Control" report is ALWAYS grouped by Entity. This is not a user option.
  • Under each Entity, Interest is broken down by Finance Charges, Interest, Credit Interest, Withholding Tax, and further by Resident, Non Resident and Approved Issuer Levy, where appropriate.
