Accounts Form, Logs

The Logs Page displays all Logs created for this Account in a grid with optional preview below.

Add a Log to the grid by clicking on the Add Item Button button or by dragging and dropping a file from Windows Explorer or an Email from Microsoft Outlook.

  • Logs still to be actioned will be shown in bold text.

Logs grid

ColumnDescription
ThreadThe first column displays icons showing where a Log fits in a thread if applicable. This column cannot be removed from the grid.
Drill Down Button
Opens the selected Log for viewing or editing.
Attachment Button
Displays Attachment Button if a Document or File is attached to the Log.
Log Severity Heading Button
Displays the Log Severity if one has been set.
SeverityDisplays the Log Severity in words if one has been set.
SystemTicked if the Log was created by finPOWER Connect automatically (generally when a change is made to the Account).
ExternalDisplays if the Log was created by an external application.
SourceDisplays the source of the Log, e.g. New Loan Letter Log may be created by a Status Rule Change.
TypeThe type of Log selected, e.g. User logs are created by a User directly.
DateThe Effective Date of the Log.
SubjectThe Subject as entered when creating the log.
Action DateThe date the Log is to be Actioned.
CompleteThe date the Log action was completed, if it has been.
DocumentDisplays the Code of the Document attached to this Log where applicable.
Document DescriptionDisplays a description of the Document attached to this Log where applicable.
Publish StatusDisplays whether the Document has been sent, or is to be sent.
FeeDisplays a fee amount charged against the account. ie: letter fee.
BalanceDisplays the Account Balance at the date of the Log.
OverdueDisplays the Overdue Balance of the Account at the date of the Log.
ContractualDisplays the Contractual Overdue Balance of the Account at the date of the Log.
CreatorThe User who created the Log.
CreatedThe date and time the Log was created.
OwnerThe Log's Owner.
DelegatedIf applicable, the Delegated User.
NotesDisplays any Notes entered when the Log was created.

Button Strip

ButtonDescription
Add Item Button
Add a new Log.
Row Delete Button
Delete the selected Log.
ReplytoLog Button
Reply to the selected Log, or continue the thread.
Threaded
Show or Hide the thread view Icons in the left column of the grid and the other Logs in the thread in the Preview Pane.
Compact View
Show the top line of the Log Notes in the grid (Compact View), or show the full Notes text over a number of lines (Full View).
PreviewPane
Show or Hide the Preview Pane below the button strip.
Save Default Button
Save the grid selections as your default settings so that the grid will look the same each time the page is opened.

  • The Permission key UpdateAny will prevent you from updating any log's, when System Basis set to Deny.
