Accounts Form, General

Code and Name

Code

The Account's unique code can be up to 10 characters long.

Name

This Account's Name. You can edit this field here, but it is created in the Client Name & Details page.

Description

The Description of the Loan. This is defaulted from the Account Type.

External Id

The External Id can be used to show an alternate Identification number for this Account. Like the Code, it also needs to be unique, but can be up to 40 characters long.
In order for this field to display, go to menu option Tools, User Preferences, Accounts, General Page, and tick the 'Show the External Id Field' checkbox.

Password

The Password is not used to lock the Account for viewing or editing, but it can be used for identification when talking to the Client. The Password is displayed as ******** on the Account form. You can view the Password by hovering the mouse over the key icon in the title bar at the top of the form. Click the PasswordGenerate to generate a new unique strong password.

Product Type

This is defaulted from the Product Type selected in the New Account wizard and can only be changed if the Account's Status is Quote.

Account Type

The Account Type is also selected during the New Account Wizard. You may change this at any time, but you need to be aware of the new Account Type's settings, as it may affect the maturity or repayments.

Promotion

The Promotion field shows whether a Promotion was used when establishing this Account.

Manager

The Manager this Account belongs to.

Review Date

Optionally enter a Review Date. A Task Log will be created and will appear in the Manager's Task List.

Alert Message

Enter or select an Alert Message if required. This is limited to 100 characters and will show prominently in the Key Details Pages. Additionally it will display an alert icon with a tooltip in the form heading. If the Account has a Workflow it will show in the Workflow Key Details and in the Task Manager Summary

This list is defined by the AccountAlertMessages Information List.

Ledger, Purpose, Source and Region

These fields are used to group Accounts for reporting purposes.

Ledger

This list is defined by the Account Ledger Information List.

Purpose

This list is defined by the Account Purpose Information List.

Source

This list is defined by the Account Source Information List.

Region

This list is defined by the Account Region Information List.

Notes

Enter notes applicable to this Account if required.
