Orientation, Taskpane, Adding a Taskpane Item, Send an Action to a Form

To add a button to open an Action Command for a Form to your Taskpane, from the Taskpane Item Wizard select "Send an Action to a Form" and click Next Button .

Enter the Form to receive this Action

Choose the required form from the drop down list.

The form type has to be open in order to appear as an option in the list.

Specify the Action to Send to the Form

Select from the drop down list the Action you need.

Enter any other data required by the Action

Input any data needed to complete the Action, e.g. ClientName may be required to add a new Client record.

Click Next Button .

Other Details

Label your new button accordingly and write a tool tip that will appear when hovering over the button. This tool tip will explain in more depth what the button does.

Click Next Button .

Optionally choose an icon to represent the new command from either the dropdown list or import your own image.

If you are importing an image, it will need to be a .ico file.

and you will return to the Taskpane Item form. From here choose where you would like to position the new item using the button strip (shown below) or click OK Button
