To add a button to open an Action Command for a Form to your Taskpane, from the Taskpane Item Wizard select "Send an Action to a Form" and click .
To go to the taskpane item wizard, click here for the Help topic "Customising the Taskpane".
Choose the required form from the drop down list.
The form type has to be open in order to appear as an option in the list.
Select from the drop down list the Action you need.
Input any data needed to complete the Action, e.g. ClientName may be required to add a new Client record.
Click .
Label your new button accordingly and write a tool tip that will appear when hovering over the button. This tool tip will explain in more depth what the button does.
Click .
Optionally choose an icon to represent the new command from either the dropdown list or import your own image.
