If the Client contact address/methods is updated, the original contact method/address is expired and a new contact method/address is created.

Contact methods/addresses that are updated will have an Audit(Change) Log created.

The log is type 'Audit (Change)' and will show the 'changed from' and 'changed to' details in the log notes. If the 'Valid From Date' is entered on the new contact record then this date will also appear in the log notes.

For the log to be created the following options found in Global Settings, Auditing, Clients page, must have both the Audit and the Log checkboxes ticked:

  • Contact Addresses
  • Contact Methods
