Add Promise

Clear Existing Promises?

Tick to clear any existing Promised Payments from the Account Schedule. If this is un-ticked, any Promises made now will be added to existing Promises.

Total

Enter the total amount being Promised. If the Account is Overdue, the Overdue amount will be defaulted here.

Setting to control this is on Account Types\Other Page\'Show Contractural Overdue in Summary Pages?' Ticked it will show the Contractural Overdue in the Total. If the 'Show Overdue in Summary Pages?' option is ticked by itself or together with Show Contractural Overdue in Summary Pages?' it will display Overdue Total.

Frequency

Change the current regular repayment frequency if you want the Promised Payments to be made more, or less, often.

First Date

Enter the first promised date, if different from the next regular payment date as defaulted in this field.

Value

Optionally enter the amount promised, or ...

Number

Optionally enter the number of payments promised.

Calculate

Click the Calculator to calculate the number or amount of payments, depending on which option you entered.

Any Promised payments due after the account's Maturity Date will be removed from the Payment Schedule and a warning message will be displayed.

Click to add the Promised Payments to the Payment Schedule.

Promises added will not affect the Account's Overdue balance when they come due, they are simply a promise to make a payment on a date.

Any payments made will reduce the Overdue balance when they are made.
