finPOWER Connect can be locked, i.e., all forms hidden and put in a state that the current user's password must be entered to unlock it. This is a useful security precaution if for example the user leaves their desk or wishes to work with another application but wants to ensure that finPOWER Connect is locked.

This is performed via the Window, Lock finPOWER Connect menu option or from the Window, Lock button button on the default Toolbar (you may need to reset the existing toolbar to see the new button).

This facility is not available if no database is open, Integrated Security has been used to log on, or a modal form (e.g. Global Settings) is showing.

Note: While locked, background processes can still function but no popup notifications will be shown. Errors and other message boxes may however be displayed.

To resume normal processing, enter your password and click the Unlock button.
