Code and Description

• Code - each Product Type requires a unique code of up to ten characters. A short but meaningful code is best.
• Description - enter a description for the Product Type. This should be a description that easily identifies this Product Type.

Icon

Choose an image from the dropdown list that best reflects the purpose of the Product.

Show in Accounts Menu

• Tick the Show in Menu checkbox, where this Product Type is to show in the Accounts Menu.
• Caption - when the above checkbox is ticked, this field provides the Caption that will be displayed in the Accounts Menu. This is used to create a new Account of this Product Type.

Account codes can be automatically generated when an Account is added. The numbering sequence can be set per Product Type or overall.

If you require a numbering sequence for this Product Type enter the next code to be allocated here, otherwise leave blank to use the global Account Code Sequence.
