The B2G mailbox is a facility that is available to the B2G Account Customer. It is similar to the Outlook inbox and contains messages from the PPSR to the B2G Account Customer.
Messages in the B2G Mailbox must be retrieved by the B2G Customer. Management of the B2G Mailbox content is the responsibility of the B2G Account Customer.
The main way to download mailbox messages is via the Task Manager. This should be done on a regular basis. Depending on the type of message downloaded, various actions may occur within finPOWER Connect.

- There are various types of B2G Mailbox Messages, including:
- Verification Statements
- Change of SPG
- Registration Tokens
- Critical Notices
Mailbox Message Types that update the database;
- Registration Token
- Updates the Register Token on the database
- Verification Statements for Create Registrations, Amendments and Discharge Registrations
- Updates the Grantor Status to To Be Advised.
- Verification Statement for Change Of Address For Service
- Updates the Change Number on the database for each registration listed
- A Verification Statement for Remove Registration does not update the database as this action was performed by the PPSR Registrar
- Importance set to Critical and warning message added
Messages are not removed from the mailbox when they are retrieved. They will be removed by the PPSR after a period of time has elapsed based on the time the message was put into the mailbox. The period of time has been set at 60 days, (by the PPSR) |
- The Address for Service is the nominated address to which all registration notifications for Secured Parties are sent. In the PPSR the address for service is associated with the Secured Party Group
- To ensure mail is sent to the B2G Mailbox, the B2G Account Customer number must be entered into the Secured Party Group's Address for Service.
