To add an External Application or Document to your Toolbar Toolbar, from the Toolbar Item Wizard select "External Application, Document or URL" and click Next Button.

File Name

Like in the image shown below, enter the URL in the File Name field to be opened, or search for a file or application to be opened from the link on the Toolbar.

Click Next Button.

Other Details

Label your new button accordingly and write a tool tip that will appear when hovering over the button. This tool tip will explain in more depth what the button does.

Click Next Button.

Optionally choose an icon to represent your External Link from either the dropdown list or import your own image.

If you are importing an image, it will need to be a .ico file.

Click Finish Button and you will return to the Toolbar Item form. From here choose where you would like to position the new item using the button strip (shown below) or click OK Button and then OK Button again.
