MotorWeb, Retrieving an Existing VIR

To open the MotorWeb Enquiry form, from the Security menu, click Security Enquiry.

If you have enquired on a Vehicle previously and wish to retrieve a copy of the VIR created, you can either do this based upon the vehicle's Registration Plate or VIN number or the original VIR's reference code.

To retrieve an existing (previous) Vehicle Information Report (VIR)

  1. Select the Service.
  2. Select the Product as Previous Vehicle Report.
  3. Enter either the Registration Plate, VIN or prior Reference number of the vehicle to search for.

    4. MotorWeb Form, Existing VIR

    If there are multiple VIR's for this vehicle, finPOWER will find the last VIR.

    • Alternatively, enter the specific VIR Reference code you wish to open.
  4. Click MotorWebOpen to open the existing VIR.

    5. finPOWER Connect will note how old the VIR is.

  5. The VIR will then be displayed.

    6. From this window you may Print a copy of the VIR, Save, Add a Log linked to this Service Log or View as PDF.

MotorWeb VIRs no longer return ownership details for individuals.

When viewing a VIR, you can now use the 'Confirm Owner' button to confirm the current vehicles owner by one of three different methods:

  • First and Last Name
  • Last Name and Date of Birth
  • Drivers Licence Number
