To open the MotorWeb Enquiry form, from the Security menu, click Security Enquiry.

To create and view a new Basic Vehicle Information (BVI) or Vehicle Information Report (VIR)

  1. Select the Service & Product.
  2. Enter New Search details for Plate or VIN.

    3. The Basic Vehicle Information (BVI) search is a very much cut-down version of the VIR Report, with only motor vehicle information including WOF, Rego.

  3. Click MotorWebGetVIR to search for the BVI or VIR.

    4. You may be asked to confirm this action as it is a chargeable activity.

  4. The BVI or VIR will then be displayed.

    5. From this window you may Print a copy of the BVI or VIR, Save, Add a Log linked to this Service Log or View as PDF.

MotorWeb VIRs no longer return ownership details for individuals.

When viewing a VIR, you can now use the 'Confirm Owner' button to confirm the current vehicles owner by one of three different methods:

  • First and Last Name
  • Last Name and Date of Birth
  • Drivers Licence Number
