- Select the Client and the applicable Branch. The Branch will determine which Cost Centre the enquiry is charged to.
- Alternatively, leave the Client blank when performing an Ad-Hoc enquiry.
- Select the Credit Bureau Product (Consumer Enquiry) to use; depending on your service these options may vary.
- Click Next.
- Select the Account Type, Relationship and enter the Amount.
- Define the Enquiry Options.
The Options available include:
Permission Type
This allows different types of Reports to be generated. For example: A Commercial + Consumer Permission Type will generate a Commercial Enquiry on an Individual who may be a director of a company.

Is the Enquiry for a Credit Review?
This option defines how the Credit Enquiry is recorded against a Client's history.
- Select whether you want to enquire using Client details or a Credit Bureau File (Reference) Identifier.
The Credit Bureau File Id identifies the credit applicant by the Bureau's file number. This option also allows the retrieval of an old report where the Reference number is available. |
- Click Next.
- If you selected a Client this information will populate.
- Alternatively, enter the Person's details, Driver's Licence details, Employment details, Phone, Address and Previous Address information as required.
- Click Next to produce a Credit Response.
- Scroll through to review the details on the Credit Report generated.
Equifax searches its Consumer and Public record databases for the response. |
- Click Finish to complete the Credit Enquiry.
