ISMessageProviderSmtp Class

This type is for System Use Only and should NOT be used.
Obsolete. Use finMessaging instead.
Represents a Message Provider that uses SMTP to send Email messages.

NOTE: Emails may not be sent immediately if virus scanning of outgoing mail is active on the client PC. Norton 2006 definitely causes this behaviour. Switch off scanning of outgoing mail to fix.

Name Description
DefaultSenderEmailAddress The Default Sender Email Address to use if one is not specified in the request.
DefaultSenderName The Default Sender Display Name to use if one is not specified in the request.
EnableSsl Indicates whether to enable SSL for communication with the SMTP Server.
Password The Password required to connect to the SMTP server.
Port The Server Port.
ServerAddress The SMTP Server Address or a semi-colon separated list of Server Addresses.
UserId The User Id required to connect to the SMTP server.
