Security Register, PPSR B2G, Amend Registration

From time to time information relating to the Collateral Registration may change, e.g. a debtor may be added to the security statement. Also the initial information entered may be incorrect, e.g. A vehicle registration may have being entered incorrectly.

You may also amend information by clicking on the Perform B2G Updates button on the Security Statement form. This will do much the same as noted below.

To Amend a Collateral Registration held on the PPSR

  1. From the Security menu, click Security Statements.
  2. Select the Security Statement you wish to amend.

    3. Note, do not go into edit mode. If required, amend client and collateral information first then save and exit edit mode.

  3. Select the Security Items page and open the Security Item form by Double-clicking the Item, or by clicking the Drill Down Button button in the correct row of the grid.

    4. The following attributes, if applicable to the registration, can be amended:

    • Collateral description.
    • Is subordinate.
    • Are proceeds claimed and proceeds claimed description.
    • Registration end time.
      • Commercial items registered with a serial number and all consumer items have a default end date of 7 years.
        • Commercial items not registered with a serial number have a default end date of 25 years.
    • Vehicle registration and description.
    • Aircraft nationality and registration mark.
      • The registration mark cannot be amended if it was used as the registration serial number.
    • Grantors may be added and deleted.
    • If the Item is registered then fields used to register the item that cannot be amended on the PPSR registration will be disabled on the Security Item form, e.g. Motor Vehicle VIN.
    • Global Settings to decide whether the Registration Status is updated automatically when a change to the Security Statement will require an amendment to any Registrations.

  4. Click on the Amend Registration action from the PPSR B2G section of the Taskbar at the left of the form.
  5. A warning message will appear advising Do you want to Amend the Registration?. Click Yes to continue, or No to cancel.
  6. If the transaction is unsuccessful the Action Status will change from Send to Pending.

You cannot create a new B2G Transaction whilst there are still pending transactions.
