finPOWER Connect includes the concept of
Cost Centres for tracking calls made to third party interfaces such as
Credit Bureaus.
Some advantages of this are:
- finPOWER Connect supports users that want third party credentials and other settings to vary based upon their Business Units. In other words, Credit Enquiries can be allocated to different Cost Centres for accountability for both the subscriber credentials and fee costs.
- Cost Centres can be created and used/defined at a Branch or Entity level.
- Cost Centres includes the ability to save Production Credentials and Test Credentials separately, making it easy to swap between Production and Test modes.
- Not all Services are configured under Cost Centres, but may be in future versions. Services not currently handled by Cost Centres are configured in Global Settings/User Preferences.
- Cost Centres require the Branches Add-On as a pre-requisite.

If you are not licenced for Cost Centres, there is still a GLOBAL Cost Centre, which you use to configure services in.
The GLOBAL Cost Centre Code cannot be changed as this is a default Cost Centre that is required. |
