Wildcards can be used in various situations within finPOWER Connect, and make it easier to add a range of things like dates.
If you are using a Wildcard within a Date, then you must enter a question mark ? at the front of the date, e.g. ?4/* .
There are various date options that can be entered, providing you are changing a Regular payment:
- Wildcards used in a single date, e.g. ?8/* will change all payments dated the 8th of every month.
- To show no payments in December, add ?12 and the value of $0.
- To show no payments in November through to February, add ?11-2 and the value of $0.
- To show no payments from 20 November to 10 February, add ?20/11-10/2 and the value of $0.
- Use a Wildcard and a Year, e.g. ?2021, ?2021-2022, ?10/12/2021-03/04/2022 will change payments in the nominated year(s).
- The Date can be entered as either a fixed date or a date range in the format ?[day]/month/[year]-[day]/month/[year], where [] indicates optional items.
A date range entered as ?4/5/2021-12/6/2021 will override the payments from the 04/05/2021 to the 12/06/2021
- Use numbers or * in day/month/year.
